At the ripe old age of 12, while living in Asmara, Eritrea, a former part of Ethiopia, Wills first encounter with coffee is the envy of many coffee lovers. Beans roasted fresh over a fire in an iron skillet, ground by hand, brewed in a clay jug, and filtered through horse hair. From that moment, Will developed a deep respect for coffee, its origins, traditions and the people who work tirelessly to make it happen. Today, Will is in his element, getting paid for doing what he loves. When he’s not fulfilling his duties with the Australian Specialty Coffee Association Sub-Committee, judging barista competitions, or collaborating with the Norther Beaches Coffee Association crew, you can find him chatting to anyone and everyone about all things coffee in our Seven Miles Espresso Bar and Training space.
