So They Can
As part of the Seven Miles Group, we partner with So They Can, a not-for-profit organisation, committed to empowering children through education in Kenya and Tanzania. Our annual contribution supports 40 students at Kibowen Komen Primary School in Kenya– not far from a coffee-growing region where we source coffee. Our support ensures these children receive a quality education, as well as daily school meals and access to safe drinking water.
Learn MoreBear Cottage
$1 from every kilo of our popular Bear & The Beard blend sold goes to support the work of Bear Cottage. Bear Cottage is a special place dedicated to caring for children with life-limiting conditions, as well as providing support and respite to the families and carers of these children. An initiative of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, Bear Cottage is the only children's hospice in NSW, one of only two in Australia, and the only one in the world affiliated with a children's hospital.
Learn MoreEthical Coffee
By working with partners who share our dedication to quality and who insist on sustainable, ethical practices at origin, we can make a real difference.
This happens both through directly partnering with coffee producers, through a network of the best specialty coffee brokers and through certification programs like Fair Trade.
Reducing Waste
We’re working to reduce the impact of packaging waste is every area of our business. From encouraging reusable cups in our locations, to sourcing compostable cups and pods, to partnering with local charities to reuse coffee sacks. Our Coffee Next team are always on the lookout for ways to reduce our impact.
Solar Power
We have installed solar panels at our Manly Vale roastery to help reduce our carbon footprint. The panels provide a renewable source of power and through the installation we’ve saved over 200,000 kilograms of CO2.
