Green Grape, Vanilla, Watermelon

Guatemala has been growing coffee since the 1700s, when Jesuit priests first planted it in monastery gardens. By the 1800s, it had replaced indigo as the country’s economic lifeline, shaping generations of farmers and flavours along the way.

This fully washed lot comes from the high-altitude slopes of La Libertad, where cool mountain air and mineral-rich soils create the perfect conditions for complexity in the cup. Expect bright notes of green grape, soft vanilla sweetness, and a crisp watermelon finish - all wrapped in a clean, chocolatey body with a gentle nutty edge. It’s bold, fruity and unmistakably Guatemalan.

More About The Coffee

This standout lot comes from La Libertad, a high-altitude pocket of Huehuetenango in western Guatemala, a region known for producing some of the country’s most distinctive coffees. Grown by smallholder farmers on steep, mineral-rich slopes, this coffee benefits from cool mountain breezes, long ripening periods, and expert cultivation passed down through generations.

The beans are fully washed, a traditional processing method that brings clarity and brightness to the cup. After fermentation and careful rinsing, they’re sun-dried on raised beds to preserve those delicate fruit and floral notes. The result is a beautifully clean, complex brew with flavours of green grape, vanilla, and watermelon, layered with undertones of chocolate and a subtle nutty finish.

More than just a great-tasting cup, this coffee carries the legacy of a country where coffee is culture. From its Jesuit garden roots to its role in shaping Guatemala’s economy, this is a brew steeped in history, hard work, and high-altitude magic.
