Americano

A type of coffee drink made by diluting espresso with hot water. Strength depends on whether a single or double shot used

Capuccino

A single espresso mixed with silky textured milk, topped with 10-15mm of foam. In Australia, it is usually lightly dusted with chocolate power.

Cold Brew

Coffee brewed using cold water. The grounds are usually steeped for 12-24 hours, resulting in a smooth, whisky-like drink typically served over ice or with a small amount of milk.

Espresso

The base of most coffee beverages served in a demitasse cup. Espresso is coffee which has been brewed by forcing a small amount of near boiling water under pressure through finely ground coffee beans. More info on espresso and machinery.

Filter Coffee

Also called ‘drip’ ‘pour over’ or ‘batch brew’. Coffee brewed with water dripping over the grinds, typically through a paper filter. Popular devices include v60, Kalita, Fetco & Moccamaster

Long black (Americano)
